For quite some time, this particular Bible verse has been my favorite and my source of comfort during uncertain moments. It became especially significant to me between late 2021 and early 2022.
Are you curious to learn more about it?
While the scripture conveys more than just the words on the page, I focus on this part because it truly reflects my genuine pursuit of God’s purpose. Rather than seeking God’s Kingdom and Righteousness solely based on the rest of the verse, I find deeper meaning in this specific message.

I was navigating a wilderness phase, akin to the experience of the Israelites after their liberation from slavery in Egypt. This challenging period was meant to lead to the promised land, and how one handles this phase can either accelerate, delay, or even prevent entry into that promised land.
Now that you have the context, let’s continue.
My time in the wilderness was filled with emotional ups and downs. I’ll share that story another time, but to sum it up, I found myself lacking in many areas and focused on meeting my basic needs. This drove me to earnestly seek God, asking and asking for help!
Seek First God’s kingdom and Righteousness and every other thing will be added unto you
Then, one day while reading my Bible, the phrase from Matthew 6:33 resonated deeply with me. It felt like the answer to all my pressing needs: if I seek God’s Kingdom first, everything else will be added to me. And this has litrally been my lifes journey since then… Instead of seeking things i want why dont i just focus on what i truly need which is to seek first (Above all things) God’s kingdom and His Righteousness.
